The seeds that changed everything

seed

As reality began going crazy I just so happened to be cleaning up a tomato that had started rotting. There happened to be 10 Fertil Pots filled with soil on my counter. I wasn't a gardner. They were there because I was growing flowers for a time-lapse project. Convenience and Curiousity took hold. I placed a seed in each pot. 9 of them sprouted. They were transplanted into grow bags When it was warm enough they got to go outside.

Life is simple, let's Rain Man this.

All that is required is the tiniest bit of nurturing. The rewards returned are enormous. I discovered tranquility being outside in the sun and watering the plants. Putting my hands in soil connected me to the earth. Then the thought struck me, "What short circuit in my mind caused me to think 'Go to the Store' when I wanted a tomato." Store bought tomatos have been manipulated for transport and in the process have lost taste. Imagine all the logistics required for that tomato to appear in the store. Buying a tomato robs me from time in the sun, hands in the soil, flavor and freshness of picking a tomato I nurtured. When's the last time you inhaled the scent excreted while trimming a tomato plant? Eating a BLT is but a fraction of the rewards returned.

Health restored to body and mind. Curiosity returned and 5eed1ab was born.

5eed1ab

5eed1ab is a workshop I'm developing to help me understand the next layer of how computers work. That would be learning C. Why the funny spelling? SeedLab doen't work in Hexadecimal. I make up mac addresses for my virtual machines like 5E:ED:1A:B0:66:0A.

Learning a virtualization API for Kubernetes

I also want to learn KubeVirt. Should I Pulp Fiction 5eed1ab? Jump ahead, setting up an OKD cluster so I can get KubeVirt working to build the Gutenberg VM. Then Circle back to building a computer, Installing an Operating System, merging episode 1000001 'A'.
